Do I own the website?
Yes. I build it in my Wix account, then transfer it to a free Wix account you make. You accept the transfer from an email Wix sends you, then buy the Wix plan in your own account with your own card. The site, the plan and the domain are in your name, and you do not need me to keep it running.
Why Wix?
You can change text, photos, prices and hours yourself with a drag-and-drop editor, and forms, booking and email signups are built in. Prefer Squarespace? Say so on the form. Its plans and handover steps are different, so I go over them on the call before you decide.
What will I pay every month?
Only the Wix plan, billed by Wix to you, about $17 to $39 a month, paid yearly. Most sites need the lower end. Online booking or taking payments needs a higher plan. I do not charge a monthly fee.
Do you write the words?
Yes. I write every page from your form answers and our call, and you approve it before anything goes live.
I already have a website or a domain.
Keep your domain. Tell me where it is registered and I will show you how to connect it to the new site at handoff. Your old site stays up until the new one is ready.
Do you need my passwords?
No. I never ask for your email, bank, domain or social media logins. You add photos to a private upload folder, and the finished site is transferred to the Wix account you create.
How long does it take?
Three to four weeks from your deposit to handoff, if your photos and feedback come back within a few days. The first draft arrives about two weeks after your deposit and photos are in.
How do I pay?
Half to book your start date, half at handoff. I send a card invoice after the planning call, once we have agreed on the price.
